Civilian Magazine Launched with 2019 Spring I Issue
With a much celebrated release and launch event at Doheny Room West Hollywood, for its 2019 Spring I issue, CIVILIAN magazine has arrived. The print and digital publication has an innovative editorial direction that highlights celebrities, but also their authenticity and goodwill.
“CIVILIAN will be a platform for everyone - to embrace people from all walks of life, regardless of race, ethnicity, education, and/or religion. Our readers will be encouraged to be who they are and read why it is so important to fight for their goals and dreams. We feel it’s necessary for everyone to come together and unite at this time in society, instead of being suspicious of those who are different,” said Eiko Watanabe, CIVILIAN's editor-in-chief.
Each issue will include popular influencers and culturally relevant faces, but they will share the sacrifices and perseverance it took to excel in their fields, and what they learned along the way.
“We know that audiences are most engaged by the intersections of entertainment, politics, and lifestyle. But the individuals at the top of those industries have the best stories to tell. That’s why CIVILIAN will become a trusted source for what is ‘in the moment,’” said Al David, CIVILIAN’s founder and publisher.
CIVILIAN will not be bound by traditional editorial expectations, due to this deliberate focus on claiming your power and living your truth. “CIVILIAN is a unique voice for a unique time. The staff are sharp writers and editors who are living in this moment where everything is consumable, everything is viral, and everything is possible. The choice to create a publication that exclusively focuses on hard work, positivity, and service will create a new standard on what this medium can and should be,” commented Vanessa Ferrelli, co-founder and chief marketing officer of CIVILIAN.
As CIVILIAN features those who are courageously advancing to realize their goals and dreams while challenging themselves anew – professionally and personally – the 2019 Spring I issue spotlights stars like Rumer Willis, Peter Facinelli, Allen Leech, Ben Barnes, Estelle, Haley Reinhart, Dinah Jane, Jess Glynne, Tyler Rich, Agnez Mo, Dr. Tom Coburn, Cara Santana, Margaret Cho, Aidan Alexander, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Scott Stevens, and Pierson Fodé.
CIVILIAN is a contemporary publication with a target demo of men and women between the ages of 19 and 65. The magazine's tagline is “Style and Conscious” and it will be distributed bi-monthly with high-quality content throughout highlighting fashion, lifestyle, and culture.
